Dear friend,
No matter what happens, remember this:
You control your pace.
And you control how you react.
I’m writing this while in transit.
Last night I stayed in a place where I couldn’t sleep at all.
Too much noise. People talking in the hallway.
I barely slept.
I woke up extremely irritated.
My first thought was:
This is unbearable.
And then I remembered something simple.
I’m in charge here.
Almost instantly another thought appeared:
This is nothing.
And just like that, everything changed.
I’m writing this later the same day, and I actually smiled thinking about how close I was to letting that first reaction ruin the entire day.
Even though I’m not at 100%, I feel completely fine.
And that’s the reminder.
We’re not always in control of what happens to us.
But we are always in control of the pace we choose to carry through it.
Situations will try to shake us.
Life will constantly test our rhythm.
But our pace remains ours.
And when you protect your pace,
you protect your peace.
One Line to Carry With You
Your pace is your power.
Truly yours, this moment.
