FOMO is a fraud.

Dear friend,

Last week we talked about Daily Non-Negotiables.

Many of you wrote back.
Which tells me something hit.

But here’s the problem.

Isn’t it insane how much effort we now have to put into protecting our day?

And one of the biggest threats to your non-negotiables is simple:

FOMO.

Fear of Missing Out.

The phrase is cliché.
The effect isn’t.

Every week – sometimes every day – something appears.

An opportunity.
An investment.
A collaboration.
“The next big thing.”
Especially now, with AI accelerating everything.

It doesn’t just distract you.
It occupies mental space.
You start simulating scenarios.
“What if I miss this?”
“What if this is it?”

Here’s what works for me almost every time.

Someone pitches something like it’s the next revolution.

My internal response – So what?

Not aggressively.
Not arrogantly.

Just calmly.

So what?

If it doesn’t align with my direction, my pace, my priorities –
why should I let it hijack my attention?

Missing out? On what exactly?

I have my journey.
My tempo.
My battles.

The only thing I refuse to miss out on
is enjoying the day I’m already inside.

That’s what Daily Non-Negotiables protect.

They give structure so FOMO has nowhere to attach.

Let me leave you with this question:

What are the current FOMOs competing for your attention – and which ones deserve a calm “no”?

Truly yours, this moment.

Armando
