Let’s celebrate each other again

sent by Armando Matijevich │

Dear friend,

When did we stop celebrating one another?

When did we become too busy, or too distracted, to really notice each other’s wins, growth, joy?

There was a time when someone would say:
“I just got back from a trip,” and we’d ask:
Where did you go? What did it feel like? What changed in you?

Or when a friend shared some good news, and we’d pause to feel it with them.

Now?
It’s a “like” or a fire emoji. Maybe a quick “nice one!” in passing.
And that’s it. We move on.

We’ve become spectators of each other’s lives, without ever actually being present in them.

Maybe it’s the algorithms…
They’ve trained us to swipe fast.
To consume, not connect.
To skim, not celebrate.

And in doing so, we’ve robbed each other of something sacred:
The joy of being seen.

But here’s something I truly believe,
when you celebrate someone, you win too.
It nourishes your soul.
It reminds you of what’s possible.
It connects you to something deeper than your own to-do list.

I’m guilty of forgetting this sometimes.
So this is a reminder, to myself, and maybe to you too:

Let’s truly witness one another.
Ask more questions, focus and listen.
Give space for the story.
Be there long enough to let joy land.

This week, tell someone:
“I see you. I’m here. I’m celebrating you.”

One Line to Carry With You:

Your joy is mine too, friend.

Truly yours, this moment.

Armando
