Fyaka doesn’t always arrive on schedule.
Sometimes it catches you off guard – during a quiet walk, or a long pause you didn’t plan.
But over time, I’ve learned something else:
You can also create the conditions for it to show up.
You can make space for stillness to find you.
When I’m home in Split, there’s a part of my day that’s basically non-negotiable:
Every day, at noon until 2 p.m., I disappear.
No meetings. No notifications. No “quick calls.”
I walk down to Firule Bay.
I drink coffee slowly.
I play picigin with friends in the sea.
No scoreboard. No intensity.
Just movement, laughter, and presence.
It’s not time off. It’s time on – with myself.
By the time I walk back, I’m full of energy.
Clear. Recharged.
Not behind. Just back.
And that 2-hour pause?
It gives more to the rest of my day than any productivity hack I’ve ever tried.
This Week’s Thought to Carry:
What part of your day do you wish you could protect – and what would happen if you actually did?
Until next Thursday,
Let yourself disappear for a bit.
The world will be fine.
Truly yours, this moment.
