Distraction Is Expensive.

sent by Armando Matijevich │

Dear friend,

Distraction is the default now. We all kind of know that.

Every hour something wants a piece of you.
Notifications. Invitations. Opinions. Urgency.

It all starts with the “mini-casino” in our pocket.

And then people – my God, the people!
Projecting their chaos. Seeking validation.
Pulling you into battles that were never yours.

Your day can be hijacked before it even begins..

Uninterrupted thinking has become rare.
And it’s a new form of equity.

Here’s what I keep repeating to myself:

Protecting your attention is not optional.
It’s discipline.

You cannot build anything meaningful
if your mind is constantly rented out.

Yes, we have to be out there.
We have to show up.

But visibility without boundaries is self-sabotage.

So I made it simple:

Social apps locked to 15 minutes.
First 90 minutes of the day screen-free.
Last 90 minutes screen-free.
Daily fyaka – non-negotiable.

There’s more to it. We’ll go deeper another time.

For now, just this:

Avoiding distraction is ambition.
Silence is leverage.
Building quietly is the new luxury.

One line to carry with you:

Protect your attention like equity.

Truly yours, this moment.

Armando
