Why do we do what we do?

sent by Armando Matijevich │

Dear friend,

Why do we do what we do?

We don’t ask that question nearly enough.
And when we do, the honest answer is often: I don’t know.

We take meetings we don’t care about. Say yes to plans we don’t enjoy.
We build, hustle, achieve, fail.

But how often do we trace those choices back to a clear, honest why?
Sometimes it’s fear.
Sometimes it’s pressure.
Sometimes it’s just momentum.

And that’s okay. Not knowing is human.
But pausing to ask why, and being okay with not knowing, is a powerful first step toward understanding ourselves.

If we never question our motives, we risk living a life that isn’t really ours.
So ask. Even if the answer is messy.

One Line to Carry With You:

Not knowing why is better than pretending we do.

Truly yours, this moment.

Armando
